House Sparrow(juvenile)

A juvenile House Sparrow, sadly according to the RSPB website this 'ultimate avian opportunist' is in severe decline and they have estimated numbers dropping by as much as 71 percent, even though they have managed to colonise most of the world! Surprisingly there are more Dunnocks in the garden than Sparrows, so I wonder what has happened to so affect the House Sparrow population?
