MonoMonday 135 Smell

This week's MonoMonday  challenge continues with this month's overall theme of the 5 senses, today being the turn of smell.
Keen observers will note that I have a secondary theme running through my August entries - cats. I must admit that this is not intentional but as I have three candidates to choose from, they do come in very usefully when all else fails!

In this instance the cat is a very good choice of subject  as they  depend on their sense of smell for their very survival; in fact it could be said that a cat's nose is its most important organ. A cat uses scent to sniff out food, mates, enemies, and to seek out his own territory, which he/she  has previously marked.
