Children

After Carys had been to her swimming lesson we all headed to the Great Missenden area to meet up with my Belgian friend and her family. We have known each other for 24years, since we met in Louvain la Neuve at an athletic meeting.

Our communication has has fluctuated over the years, although with the invention of facebook and email we are more in touch with each other than previously. I last saw Katleen back in January but haven't seen her husband or children for over 8 years, so it was very nice to catch up with them again.

We had a lovely afternoon, sat outside, chatting, having a BBQ. Kids, despite not speaking each others language all played really nicely together. Their ages are 13, 11, 9, 5 and 2 so that in itself made the fact they all played together well impressive in itself.

They are off to the Olympics on Monday morning. I am so jealous, but then when we came home we were treated to three gold medals in 45mins in the athletics stadium so I can't complain too much.

Katleen, we will have to make sure it is not so long between get togethers again. Thank you for the BBQ, we had a lovely time.
