MonoMonday Challenge - 134 Sound

Back Blipping - The Italian Ferragosto summer Holiday.  I was all set to publish the color version of this vibrant show when I remembered MonoMonday. 

For a color version you can see one of Calac's photos from the same vantage point.  We got the families together for the evening and then to watch the show.  This year's fireworks were supposedly more 'silent' per the environmentalists request to not upset the local bird population or something.  phooey.  I want to feel the big pops when they light up the sky.

Interesting the difference in approach between Calac and I... he is shooting from a tripod and long exposure.  I am going the opposite route to catch the instantaneous burst.  I really enjoyed some of Calac's photos of the fireworks... so maybe next time.
