Elizabeth and Kai

Today we went to Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall's café in Axminster for a coffee and elderflower juice and bought some really tasty filled rolls and hand made pork pies for our lunch. We then went to Axe Valley Wildlife Park where we spent the afternoon and ate our picnic.
This is a Royal Python, aptly called Elizabeth. The boys weren't too keen at first but by the end of the session were happily stroking her, under the expert guidance of her handler.
After that we returned to the cottage to put our dinner in the oven and then to the really beautiful village pub for one drink while our dinner cooked.
Back to the cottage, ate dinner, and then watched Olympics. Bed time. Tonight's performance was Sunny Afternoon by the Pinks aka Nan and Grandad. That was very successful as our audience knew the words and were able to participate. The biggest applause yet.
My extra is of some meercats at the park.
I'm having to back-blip loads of days as we had no wi-fi at the cottage. They had just had super-fast broadband installed, but alas it was not yet working. Please have a look at my other blips too, from 12th August onwards.
