Old Curiosity Shop?

Spotting the name of this shop on this van this afternoon conjured up images of two be-whiskered, frock-coated gentlemen in a dingy backstreet shop in Dickensian London, purveying penny-farthings and bone-shakers.

Jeremiah Sprocket would be the practical one of the two, tinkering with bike parts, greasy rag in hand; Bartholomew Cog, meanwhile, would be the brains of the partnership, behind the counter, attentively charming customers and handling the finances.

I'm sure the reality is far more modern and prosaic!

Kate came over to collect Sophie this morning after her and Joel's weekend away and we all went for a dip in the outdoor pool.

After lunch, once Kate & Sophie had gone home, Tess and I decided we'd earnt an afternoon with our feet up!
