Derelict Abbey ........

......... & a beautiful Dragonfly!

We headed out this afternoon to visit a new (to us) place ....... Southrey Wood.

We set off down the path ...... after a while it became rather overgrown ...... it got worse & worse .... in the end it disappeared ...... so we gave up & walked back the way we came. A bit of a dead loss really .... though we did see some dragonflies & a couple of butterflies.

We then decided to try Tupholme Abbey .... which was nearby ...... what remains of the Abbey is my Blip ...... if you look closely you can just see a sheep through the arch. We wandered around looking for the 'pools' that were supposed to surround it ...... but it would appear that they had all dried up ..... there was very little around except sheep!

Not the most successful outing we've had ...... but at least it stayed dry! :-)
