Arckaringa Hills, Painted Desert

Astounding! What a place to visit and experience. There was rain overnight and it looked overcast when my alarm went off at 5:45am, but we went to the Arckaringa Hills anyway, and spent over 2 hours roaming around the tops, and then down a valley, back to the car. There was a 'Wow' from both of us just about every corner we walked and climbed around. Utterly fascinating. I wish I could post more than one image.

And now we're in Coober Pedy, staying in an underground motel, having a rest day and catching up with the washing, getting the tent dry, and getting more supplies.
