Leila's Run

This was the rather large and heavy medal I earned for my 13 mile effort at Leila's run in Wheathamstead this morning. It's a low key annual event in memory of a popular local runner, and raises money each year for cancer charities. It's a beautiful 6.6 mile course, and you choose to run it up to four times, making the full marathon distance if you go for the maximum. I settled for two laps making a half marathon, and found it extremely tough after only running short distances for the last couple of months. A lovely event.
