Today will bring the closing ceremony to the incredible Rio 2016 Olympics. Tomorrow will bring the opening ceremony to our church Olympic themed holiday club (which is my baby). Useful timing as all the team GB apparel was reduced and she really wanted it, I needed it for holiday club. She came away with the sweater dress, and a few other bits, I with a hoody.

She told me yesterday that she wanted to go shopping. That she needed to. She wanted a bit of money from me and wanted to buy me something "because you should have a present. I love you". She went into wilkinsons, knowing exactly what she wanted. She bought me a beautiful cup and saucer set that match our dinner service. She also made a cup of tea to go in it and insisted I should have it with a haribo fizzy pencil. I do love that girl.

We spent time before and after church today prepping for holiday club. We made the Olympic Torch she is holding for the relay. I made the flags that each team will decorate tomorrow. I dug out final props that we hadn't located for the drama.

Tea was a salad of leftovers. She was annoyed as we had run out of avocado which she's only yesterday discovered she likes! The evening went a bit wonky, I think she was too tired to cope really, so she was in her bed by 620 and asleep not much after 630. We always end with huggies though. Always.
