Elitch Gardens...

One of the first things to get on the itinerary was Elitch Gardens. It's a water a theme park  in downtown Denver not too far from Mile High Stadium.

They have a lot of BIG rides like roller coasters but we spent our time in the theme park in the very well catered Kiddie Land. The kids absolutely loved it.

After wed been on all of the Kiddie Land rides we headed to the water park side of Elitch which is a series of theme pools and water slides. I somehow managed to get Ewan on one of the bigger ones which you go on a tube together round a drain thing and up a big near vertical wall. I ended up going backwards for most of it but he loved it.

Elitch's motto is 'To not see Elitch is to not see Denver'.  We happily obliged.

The night we went to meet the neighbours.  Rene and Vester.  We drank, smoked cigars and got a rather interesting education and introduction to Colorado's legalised dispensary system.
