Hockney's Three Trees in Summer
On Friday we visited Salts Mill and saw many of David Hockney's paintings of the Yorkshire Wolds.
Today our walk from Thixendale took us through that countryside.
See last year's blip here
The above photo is of the three trees he painted a few years ago.
The 4 paintings were of the same tress in Autumn, Winter, Spring and Summer.

It has been a perfect day for walking. Not too hot, with some cloud, but plenty of sun.
The extra photo is the view from the wolds, looking over the Vale of York, to York itself.
Felt quite tired after 8 miles, but sat down for tea and cakes in the village hall before the drive home.
Now for another cup of tea and feet up before I do anything else!
Hope you have all had a good weekend too.
Great to be retired, and not have to go to work tomorrow.
( sorry folks who are still working.)
