Ah'm a little bit country

I'm not all sea shores and sunsets.

When the mood takes me- i head the same distance in the opposite direction and am in the country.

Troon was recently voted the 2nd most happiest place to live in Scotland, and despite that conclusion being drawn from an on-line survey; I think they've got the gist of it; however when you contemplate that ayr, just down the coast came 1st, and consider the deprivation, drug problem and general dilapidation of the town centre you do wonder where they got their information from.

For myself - we came back here so that the kids had a good place to grow up: we livd in a street where the kids made good friends close by; the primary school was excellent and the secondary school, although lacking in some areas and not quite what it once was gave them a feeling of being part of something quite special that other schools didn't have.

They joined clubs by the plenty - girls brigrade, hockey, scouts, football and of course their volleyball which they both took with them.

And then they left lol! But they know they had a good, safe home and it'll always be here for them; unless of course we take the fancy to oiss of to France .

given that it is that i am writing this in a parking spot overlooking the town and the sea at an altitude of 198 metre (so snapchat tells me) ... I wonder why people drive up here the opposite direction and sit in their car looking at the sky and the top of the hill... Oh i understand now. The driver has just gotten out of the car special brew in hand... Obviously a drink break
