Australian War Memorial
We did a couple of touristy things before leaving Canberra this morning.
I don't think I have ever been to the Mount Ainslie before. You get a great view of the city.
We also found the memorial to the 1940 Canberra Air Disaster where 10 people were killed including General Sir Cyril Brudenell Bingham White, Chief of the General Staff, and three cabinet ministers.
For such an important monument it is surprisingly low key.
After lunch we called in for a brief visit to the War Memorial. There is lots more to see there on future trips to the capital.
