Parchment
What started as a beautiful day has ended cold and bleak with drizzle so I looked for a blip at home.
This is the first flower of the season on my camellia called "Parchment". Rather than pick it, I photographed it in place on the tree so I can get pleasure from seeing the flower against the glossy, dark green leaves. Sadly it bruises and browns very easily - but, to compensate, the tree gets covered in masses of flowers. I have chosen to leave it a little soft as I feel that best suits the delicate colour.
Tomorrow Blip Mate and I are going on an adventure for a couple of days. I am not sure whether we will be able to blip and comment - will just have to see how it goes.
