Friends Visit

In advance of a friends gathering tomorrow, first Neil and then Karen and their boys arrived for the weekend. Neil had cycled from Cambridge on Friday, camping over at Shipdham friday night. He set up this morning via Dereham where he had breakfast, then arrived at ours at about 12.30. Karen arrived at 3.30 with Angus and Felix, plus bags sleeping bags and picnic for tomorrow.

After a few cups of tea and lots of chatting, we drove in to Cromer and wandered down to the pier where we bought a drink served expertly by Mollie. Coincidently we met up with our other friends Joanne & Michael who had decided to make a weekend trip to Cromer and had booked themselves in to the End of the Pier show. We caught them as they came out, and will see them tomorrow on the beach at Wells.

Home, I cooked the lasagne and meatballs I had made earlier, which were very enjoyable. We will all, however, be very garlicky tomorrow.

Now we are enjoying a bottle of wine in the conservatory....mind you, I've just noticed the cyclist is fast asleep in the corner! Looking forward to meeting up with friends tomorrow on the beach at Wells....and hoping for sun!!
