The second home game of the season saw Bradford City host Coventry, having picked up two away wins since the goalless start to the season here a fortnight ago.
City are clearly taking a new approach this season, with playing out from the back being a notable characteristic. But they started nervously and Coventry were pressing high; possession was lost in their own third again and again. Through this route Coventry took an early lead and Bradford scarcely threatened through the rest of the first half.
Things improved in the second half; the passing moved into the opponents third and became more incisive. Three goals in eight minutes turned the match, an excellent long range effort from Mark Marshall sandwiched between two Tony McMahon penalties, the first of which is pictured above.
Four games in and third in the table, a much more positive start than last season but a long way to go.
