Today's the day ....................... to feel sorry for

In common, I imagine, with most of the UK today - we've had a miserable day of driving rain.

Even with a raincoat and welly boots on, I got soaked going from the house to the garage.  It was just not a day to be out at all.  I was so glad that this wasn't next Saturday - but at the same time I felt really sorry for any couples who were tying the knot today.  I felt sorry for anyone who was on holiday in the Lake District expecting to be out on the hills - or trying to keep children amused indoors. I felt really sorry for Anna who has been organising the Moniaive Gala for this weekend. The weather will seriously have been affecting that.

And I felt sorry for this poor old jackdaw, trying to keep dry while he waited for an important call to come through .....................
