Different Days

This photo reminds me of different days, not necessarily better, just different.
It was a glorious sunny day and the wedding went well, we were all relaxed and having a great time.
Little did I realise that things would change in a short space of time. Redundancy followed and it came as a 'wake up call'. Having spent my previous working life up to this point in the Royal Navy I had now been in my first civilian 'job' for about seven years, I had a way of working and behaving that sometimes seemed at odds with my then colleagues.
What I learnt at that time has stood me in good stead since. Has it made me more cynical, I hope not but now I am more at ease and relaxed.
