Barcelona August

Barcelona still does close down to a large extent for the whole of August. You hardly see it in the heart of the tourist centre but this is the area around the Sant Antoni market a few hundred metres from the famous Las Ramblas. Only one stall open in a parade that is bursting with offerings at any other time of year. A long wander in search of lunch in a humid city brought us all the way down here to a decent fish place called Amigo Cascaries. Recommended, if slightly chaotic.
