Viking boat for Michael

It’s a sometime tradition in this family to make a  memorial boat for some friends or family who have passed away.    This one is for Michael, who I have actually never met, (but certainly wish I had, with his good sense of humor) but I have met his lovely mother and aunt and family who are all Swedish cousins.. Michael had Parkinson’s disease and his Mom who is now in her mid 80s took care of him for 20 years.  She asked if I could possibly make him a viking boat like I have done for others…(of course I can!!)  I like to pick a beautiful night and send this driftwood boat with a picture and flowers and a candle in a paper bag  out into the sunset with good thoughts.   Usually I can see the candle after dark and I’ve never found a boat on our beach the next morning…  Rest in Peace, Michael.

The extra is the boat before launching.,

(and for anyone following the golf cart saga…. it works now with new batteries!   hurray!)
