One good turn ...

My neighbours directly across from me have lived there for 20 years but have never spoken to me until this evening

I noticed that they'd had a delivery on their front doorstep for a few days - a sure sign to burglars that there was no one at home

I managed to get their mobile number and contacted them. I moved the very heavy packages out of sight, with their permission. And this evening, they turned up to thank me with a lovely bottle of Kentish beer

It's only taken 20 years but progress has been made
