Pleyben Calvary

Throughout the week we had passed the church in Pleyben on several occasions as we returned to our Gite. Today we stopped off to have a closer look.

So glad we did. The arch was built in 1555. It was originally much closer to the church but was moved around 1742 to improve the access. The detail on the arch was phenomenal.
