Purple Loosestrife

After a heavy deluge of rain this morning, which the garden really needed, we went for a walk along the river where I spotted these Purple Loosestrife flowers.   I thought the bending tips of the inflorescence could qualify for the 'angle' twist of FlowerFriday.  So much Himalayan Balsam flowering but I was determined not to photograph it.  The local group of volunteers are putting much effort into pulling it up along the river tributaries, so when you walk along the main part of the river you are confronted with a mass of the flowers and not aware of how much is being painstakingly removed elsewhere.
