Making a Map
BackBlipping....
We were handed a project called Appropriation, where we had to take something existing and do our own thing with it....I chose a map of Glasgow City Centre.
I started drawing on the studio wall. I started drawing the roads and the river, and the parks, and then decided I wanted it to look abstract. So I decided to leave out lots of roads and paint in blocks of blue colour. This was followed by orange for the rivers (this is where Irn Bru comes from), and grey for the parks.
I tried to make some of it look 3D and this is how it ended up. (I did have lots more ideas for it but ran out of time, and I won't bore you!)
The next stage was a real 3D maps which I'll backblip in the next few days.
