Evening Light

We have had rain almost all day but some sun this evening.In the pic is one of the few Dahlias we have left to sell.
Delivering first thing this morning before we all set off to dismantle the rest of the heated benches  leaving Helen to look after the nursery.

The start of the Grouse shooting season passed me by until I heard the news that a Hen Harrier has gone missing over a grouse moor in Scotland.I detest animal cruelty of any kind but to think people pay to take part in blood sport is beyond my comprehension.Who in their right mind would want to kill a beautiful and defenceless creature.I despair of mankind.The Tower sorry about the video but close your eyes and listen to the words.

Walkers over the last week have apparently been causing trouble in the lake district for the rescue services by walking ill-equiped.Probably a severe lack of everest ascent gear and walking poles.Still on a serious note we had some ariel footage of the lakes and the size of the paths carved across the fells looked worse than the M6.I wonder how much human destruction of the lake district is acceptable.
