Sea Glass
Never quite got time to tidy up our little 'beach' themed walled garden in Beaumaris today before we headed back home to Knutsford. It's a great low maintenance space, in that it takes about 2 hours a year to keep on top of planting and weeds. It is only about 3m x 3m, but that is all you need for a bolt hole, and is perfect for barbecues and alfresco entertaining.
This is a detail in the corner of a collection of our beachcombed jetsam and flotsam, started over 10 years ago. It includes an ecclectic collection of sea glass (with a few of the illusive blues) and a huge ship wharp I knot-tied into a giant 'Turks Head' (unbeliveable difficult).
Once more, sorry to say I have fallen behind on my journal reading over the weekend, so will catch up tomorrow. Settling down now to watch Usain and find Ben Ainsley on iPlayer.
