Little flame

Tough day today. I should have gone into work but something told me not to. Sure enough, our daughter experienced a real disappointment in her exam results. She felt it meant more than it does in reality but it's been very sad to see her so upset. Difficult to make sense of , as yet.
She was well supported by staff and friends though, including an impromptu visit from another family of three this afternoon. She's hosting a post results party this evening and seems to be positive - perspective gained.
I had four hours of compulsory education tonight - not sure I'm any the better for it!

Me and Him Outdoors escaped for a quiet candlelit curry at our local to put the world to rights.
