Separation Lake

Separation Lake ended up being much prettier in the morning, with ducks lazily swimming around and minks hopping around the far shoreline. We left the lake and continued through the sticky, prickly brush with the addition of a drizzle which meant wading through wet foliage and our boots inevitably were soaked by the end of the day. We had trouble finding a flat spot next to drinkable water and had to hike into the evening with headlamps before we ended up at Spy Lake, a tiny lily pad filled puddle.
