Dear Derbridge

A rubbish phone picture (and the only one I've taken today) but just to show how many stags were out and about at Attingham Park today! I counted about 30 stags; the females of the species kept themselves to themselves.

A wonderful annual catch up with my good friend, mentor and hero: Rev. Derbridge today. For ten years now we have been meeting to chat, pray, question and grapple and today was another day for all of the above. We strolled around the grounds and caught up with each other's news, found ourselves asking ourselves similar questions to those asked every time we've met and generally had a good heart to heart. Then a lovely lunch in the sun and a bit of scripture and prayer under the shade of a tree, him clutching my hands. I do treasure this friendship. At 77 years old, Roger has seen a lot more of life than me and yet we do seem to manage to find so much common ground. He truly is one of my all time heroes.

Other than that, a day full of admin in the office. Thankfully, the Brownlee brothers provided a good bit of background entertainment this afternoon.
