Of Saints and Sailors

This collection of three heads on pedestals came about when the artist joined 19 Filipino men (who lived at sea) on a transatlantic voyage carrying wood pulp from Uruguay to the Netherlands. A series of daily sittings resulted in the clay heads, now part of sculpture in the City.
