Nature's Horror Show

Surreally elongated dark shadows, veins filled to bursting, and secrets hidden in the blurred black beyond are all the hallmarks of a classic horror movie, this one produced by nature.  A leaf from a grove of tropical fruit trees in a public demonstration garden feels like a character from a horror movie to me in this light.  But my imagination sometimes runs wild, so it may just be a leaf in the evening sun.
