West Saltoun Bus Stop (Bikes only on Sunday)

Sunday morning starts off wet, and it takes a while to stop. My training ride has to be curtailed a bit. It is dry as I set off, but as I cycle to Dalkeith, the drizzle comes on. I just want it to be dry. Thankfully I have put the mudguards on to keep most of the water off me.

It seems to be wetter the high up I get, so I head to East Lothian and up the Humbie Road

At West Saltoun the rain has gone off, and the road relatively dry. I stop at the bus stop, probably the best looking bus stop in East Lothian. Loads of community info, and one sheet about the bus service (about 5 buses a day Monday to Saturday, plus a school service if you're interested)

From here I go To East Saltoun, up to Gifford, loop around through Bolton village back to East Saltoun. On the way back to Dalkeith, I get a photo of the approaching rain clouds ove the Pentland hills. I am grateful that the rain stays off until I am nearly home. The rain is warm , so a jacket is not required.

The rain doesn't really amount to much, the forecast is worse than its bite.
