Or 'honour is acquired by virtue' is what the inscription reads on the bench seat. With the hymn 'One more step along the world I go' ringing in our ears Stokesley Mothers' Union set off for their summer outing. We went to Wydale Hall for lunch and the afternoon via Helmsley for a coffee/shopping stop. It was a shame we didn't enjoy the beautiful sunny weather that we had yesterday but at least it was warm and dry.

When we arrived at the hall some of us spotted the sandals and mug abandoned by the seat outside the front door. About 3½ hours later when we left they were still there.
