Old and new (Day 465)

It was a bit grey and overcast as my beautiful wife and I took the dogs up the hill this morning. After our walk we zoomed into town for an appointment at the hospital and to get the dogs vaccinated.
The hospital appointment went pretty well. The consultant says I can start using my arm, but gently for the moment. The physio suggested I start doing some of the things I haven't been doing.
I lifted a coffee mug with my right hand for the first time since June. It felt remarkably heavy! I also used both hands to lace my boots. Progress at last.
HV and I took the dogs for a walk in Orphir, and ended up walking a lot further than we had meant to, but the sunshine was lovely and we discovered a new bay.
I liked seeing the sailing ship in Scapa Flow near an oil rig - a strange juxtaposition.
Today has been a good day.
