Love Conkers ? Go Bonkers At T H Platz .

Today on crossing over Theodor Heuss Platz I was amazed at how many conkers are to be seen .It will be fascinating to see how many fall and when .The entire platz is ringed with trees which provide nesting places for birds in spring , shade in summer, a ring of  colour in autumn , and in winter they stand with bare outstretched branches patiently waiting for spring .When it snows they look lovely ....Looking at  these I thought of the fictional rogue 'William ' in the Richmal Crompton  books .He would have found the best and stuffed his pockets full .
