Coniston Water

Today is the anniversary of my very first visit to the Lake District.  17 August 1974.  We came on a venture scout/ranger guide holiday and travelled by train to Penrith where we were collected for the journey to the campsite.  The scenery made such an impression on me and my love affair continues to this day.  I am now fortunate enough to live here.

Absolutely beautiful day today.
