No time to take photos today, as I've been bogged down with photos from a crazy day of photos yesterday.
Had a great time in the recording studio with my mates. Lots of photos - a good mix of fun, silly, and serious. Back with them on Tuesday and Wednesday for more photos, and they're getting me to supply some additional instrumentation and vocals to a track. Can only be good for my rep in the photojournalism world.... The photographer who knows music so well, and gets along so well with musicians, they use her in recordings. I like that idea.

Had to hightail it out of there at dinner time to get to a gig two hours away... Still hadn't slept... Coffee was my best friend.
And that's where this photo was taken... At a few minutes after midnight.
The band is 28 Days (now you see where I pulled February from), and today is the front man's birthday... At the end of whichever song he was doing, he pulled out his phone to read some of the 'happy birthday' texts that were coming in.

The guys are so much fun to work with. Loud, and drunk, and often obnoxiously so... But they're absolute gents to me... As much as can be while beyond inebriated. (Except the drummer. He stays sober-ish) I've done photos for them before, and will be working with them again on studio and location photos for upcoming album art and promo material.

And I made a rad new friend, in the form of their roadie. Total gent. We have so many common interests, and instantly connected. I want him to come into my studio for a shoot, because he is covered in some of the most amazing tattoo work I have seen. Aaaaand, he has a significant resemblance to my favourite musican.

Back I go to sorting out these photos so that I have them uploaded on the website sometime today.
