If Carlsberg made roadtrips...
Es had put a trip to Mull on the summer bucket list...I had put Glencoe and Ganavan, managed to tick all three off today and enjoyed spectacular scenery and great weather to boot.
Headed off early through Glencoe to the Corran ferry. Then a drive down through the Morvern peninsula to Lochaline for the ferry to Fishnish. Landed in Mull just after one and headed West taking the coast road to Calgary Beach. It's an interesting road, with twists, turns, ascents, camper vans:-). Picnic lunch and a couple of hours enjoying the sunshine and the water at Calgary. After an ice-cream we got back in the car to Tobermory and a wee wander there. Es got to relive her Balamory up bringing:-) Headed to Craignure for the last ferry, tickets pre-booked last night just to make sure we got on. Excellent trip back to Mull with a couple of dolphin pods making an appearance for us too. Fish and chips purchased in Oban we took them along to Ganavan to enjoy them and a beautiful sunset. Home by 11:30 and all tucked up in bed by midnight.
It was a grand roadtrip today :-)
Grateful to have the ability to jump in the car and enjoy days like this one.
