Day One

Well, what a wonderful day for my first Monday. It started in the wee hours with a bit of the Olympics and when I awoke it was a beautiful day. First up, dropping the bike off at the new cycle workshop in Granton Road - gotta support these things, have you not. Then off for a stroll discovering a bit more of the neighbourhood, especially the cycle network (on foot mind) before chancing on the Edinburgh Sculpture workshop with its lovely wee cafe. A really friendly and helpful young guy showed us round, and there was some maist interesting stuff. Onward to Newhaven to buy some shellfish before stepping back along via the Chain Pier, sitting out in the sun with a beer and home to .. yes, sit out in the sun ... shrimps, mussels and smoked anchovies.
Finally a stroll up to the library to get that bus pass application in, and home to batten the hatches. And watch Fleabag....
