River Kent

Today's the day ......................... to meander

Another warm day today - and a peaceful walk along the Kent into town.

There's very little water in the river just now and it looks so different from the raging torrent that it was back in December 2015.  I couldn't help noticing though that there are still quite a few properties along the way that are still empty - still not completely repaired from the flood water damage that they sustained.

It must have been a heart-breaking experience at the time - but to still not have things back to normal all these months later, must be like rubbing salt into the wound .......................
