Hare
The second gloriously warm, sunny day in a row!
But ideas of enjoying a peaceful drink in the courtyard after work were thwarted when MrM phoned to ask me to go in to Berwick to fetch a violin bridge. A simple trip in to town always takes longer than you think, and this afternoon was no exception. The usual traffic chaos was increased by a huge lorry parked in the main street, causing jams in both directions. (And there's no such thing as a quick visit to the music shop...)
Violin bridge acquired, I stopped at the outdoor shop on the way home for a spare bottle of gas for the caravan.
Down to the caravan very briefly this evening with the aforementioned gas and one or two other things, before MrM and I walked with Louie over the ford on the Wooler Water. As we walked up the track this beautiful hare came running down the hill towards us, oblivious of our presence at first. Its spotted us, stopped dead in its tracks, stayed perfectly still for a couple of seconds, and then bounded into the field and out of sight.
