Hidden Lines

My wife and I were invited to a party to celebrate the arrival of the purple martins in Downtown Richmond. This happens once a year for about a month. If anyone in the area doesn't know about it, you should check it out. It's pretty impressive to see about 20,000 birds swarm and funnel into about nine Bradford Pear trees. Sadly, there is talk of the trees coming down and apartments going up. I didn't take my camera because I've taken plenty pictures of the birds before. However, I wished I had because the party was on the second and third floor of the restaurant and I could see so many other shots to take of other things. Lesson learned. I did get this shot with my phone of some of the old cobblestones peeking through the newer asphalt that covers them. Old Lines hidden but making their presence known.
