It's a privilege to see a friend's parents. It gives you access to seeing your friend in a dynamicism that spans over the constraints of the "now". What I mean is, is that you are able to see how your friend will become in the future, and by the way one acts towards a father, you can see how they were when they were young. There is an irreplaceable energy between family and it's beautiful.

If and when I become a father, I will understand mine (father) and understand me through my son. I will give him everything and he won't understand, as my father gives me, I will understand him in time.
