Cucamelon

An extra novelty gift from JH at Christmas.  The packet gave instructions for sowing the seed but nothing more.   Two tiny seedlings survived to be potted on and  with a lot of care grew and produced some very small flowers but no fruit (or so I thought) - two weeks away with no-one to look after it the plant looked very sorry for itself so I decided to give up and throw it out but then discovered this one small fruit which had fallen off - yes it had a cucumber taste, should have kept it to ripen a bit more but Thanks JH it was a good experiment .
