The Queen of Diaries

When I was a teenager and I liked to write my diary, I met underratings. I heard that writing is not a real hobby at all, and I should do something else, for example some sport or go out with friends or something like that.

I felt, of course, sad for that kind of comments. Today I’d want to ask that person who you are thinking you are when you say what I would do in my life? And jeering laugh for you, because you are so far a away from a smart and warm hearted person.

I feel that it’s a very important in a life in general, that you can do something with those abilities and talents which you have. So everybody should do those things what they really like, if it is possible. It’s an obvious that a happiness is related in it; happiness is it when you can do things with your abilities, and this is also what a great philosopher Aristotle said a long time ago. And I have read it from some kind of wisdom book, and it’s so true, and I can also prove it with my own experience.

Many years ago I heard that some of my friend had read diaries of Anais Nin. I didn’t get those books then, but her name remained in my mind, its sounds like a beautiful name. In this summer I went to the library and I suddenly remembered Anais Nin. Sometimes it is so difficult to find such a suitable reading for your current need. So it’s superb when you have lovely friends who also love some kind of books than you. I also have found a cheap diary of her from a second hand shop, and that’s was a great find.

A diary is her mainwork. She had written that to impressing of the feelings is in a straight direction to a creativeness. If you don’t write nothing there is danger of wilting. So she encourage to write a diary at least, that the so called flame could exist even in a small way.

What else I got when I reading her great and colourful diaries: that is important to give a lot of meaning to a life, so much as if it is possible, and keeping your own diary is an one way for that meaning. For her the meaning of her diary, was example, that to the diary go all what you maybe need when you’ll write a book.

Her monumental life consisted of loving, frienships, books, creative achievements, journeys…  Such an adorable life. For me it’s a very fascinating to get read all that kind of things.

An another point that interest me in Anais is that she wanted to run away all definitions which other people wanted to give her. I feel the same! It is possible that a (creative) person has many personalities. I maybe or truly believe that could be so.

It’s meaningful for me that there are at least one piece of Anais in my own bookshelf, and huge amount my own diaries.

Don’t ever underrate others!
