Island of the Blessed

A beautiful day today, sunshine and blue sky all day long which was perfect for our trip to Llanddwyn Island off Newborough beach. We arrived at about half ten before the hordes and Dad and I headed to the far end of the beach and on to the island whilst Mum and Bailey people-watched (and charmed.)

So many views on the island, we really were spoiled for choice and I took another 80+ shots. The now redundant lighthouse was my favourite and particularly photogenic. There were more and more folk arriving as we started to leave and the beach was absolutely heaving as we returned across the sand so we felt that we'd made the most of the peace.

A picnic lunch before we headed back through the forest and on to Beaumaris. Another lovely evening appreciating our view and watching more Olympics. And more sunshine and blue skies forecast for the next two days.

No Bailey extra today - he wasn't allowed onto the island.
