Swallows!

A lovely afternoon.

Dad wanted to go to the seaside but when I showed him the map and how far it was and how long it might take he settled for the local reservoirs in Longdendale.

A real treat to see ( and later hear )  60+ Swallows when we got out of the car. An Extra of an indivual Swallow added.

btw our nearest seaside is probably Crosby Beach north Liverpool 
Mr Google's maps says 61 miles and at the time I asked 1 hour and 20 minutes drive.   Dad was brought up on Tyneside and a bus to South Shields beach would only be 20 minutes :-)
