Underbelly

After shaking off a potentially fatal hangover with some lucozade and a nap, managed to make it into town for a wonderful day of festival frolics with some lovely ladies (and the boyfriend).

Saw John Robins for the third year in a row, and definitely think that was his best show (directed by Russell Howard, who was also watching it with us). After that we scored some free tickets to Whisky fir Dafties which was pretty funny if you weren't Rupert from Buckinghamshire in the front row who got it pretty hard from the anglophobe (Glaswegian) host. After that we wandered up to Bristo square to take in some of the atmosphere there. No matter how many times I've been out during the festival I always think how lucky we are in Edinburgh to have this every year. Yes it's a pain in the neck to have to wade through millions of tourists walking in lines 8 wide and stopping in doorways, but it's pretty awesome to go out and have the choice of so many shows to see for not huge amounts of money. I just wish it was easier to choose the good shows!
