Solanaceae

Interesting family, the Nightshades - Potato, Tomato, Aubergine (flower pictured), Chilli Pepper, Bell Pepper, and the not-so-pleasant Deadly Nightshade, Tobacco & Mandrake.

Slow year for our Solanaceae with this crap-weather 'summer', even in the polytunnel. Tomatoes only really came on-stream 2 weeks ago, and not much of a show yet from the Aubergine and Peppers. My 'summer staple' gazpacho definitely on hold for the time being! At least the potatoes got it together, but they got hammered by Bunny Plague...
